March 6, 2024 (EIRNS)—Republican Presidential candidate Nikki Haley, former ambassador to the UN and governor of South Carolina, announced this morning that she has suspended her campaign, following her poor showing in yesterday’s Super Tuesday Republican primaries, in which she won only in the state of Vermont. Although she bowed out, she did not endorse Donald Trump, stating that “It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond who did not support him, and I hope he does that. At its best, politics is about bringing people into your cause, not turning them away. And our conservative cause badly needs more people. This is now his time for choosing.”
