March 28, 2024 (EIRNS)—Aside from rumors that a Polish general was killed in Ukraine by a Russian missile strike a few days ago, the Polish military seems to be experiencing other problems as well. Poland’s Defense Ministry announced today the appointment of a new Polish commander of the Eurocorps, a multinational military formation headquartered in Strasbourg, France. Lieutenant General Piotr Blazeusz, former First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, will be replacing General Jaroslaw Gromadzinski, who is the subject of an ongoing investigation by the Polish Military Counterintelligence Service, reported Polish Radio. The Ministry of Defense confirmed Gromadzinski’s removal, citing concerns about his security clearance but gave no other details.
