March 25, 2024 (EIRNS)—The last two days have seen an escalation of attacks by Russia and Ukraine against each other. The Russian Defense Ministry reported yesterday that overnight the previous night, Russian forces launched a wave of drone and missile attacks “against facilities of the electric power industry, the gas industry, and assembly and testing sites for uncrewed boats.”

According to U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, a long-time protégé of Victoria Nuland, Russia used hypersonic missiles in some of those attacks.

The Polish government claimed that during these attacks a missile flew through Polish airspace for 39 seconds before going out again. Poland’s Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz later told reporters in a televised news conference that the Russian missile would have been shot down had there been any indication that it was heading towards a target in Poland. The Polish Foreign Ministry said it would “demand explanations from the Russian Federation in connection with another violation of the country’s airspace.” Moscow’s Ambassador in Poland refused to respond to the Polish demands.
