March 28, 2024 (EIRNS)—While Moscow has proceeded at a deliberate pace in confirming leads in their investigation of the March 22 “Crocus Massacre” near Moscow, today their Investigative Committee released some preliminary findings. In particular, they announced that they have “substantiated evidence” that the four accused gunmen had received “significant sums of money” from Ukraine in the form of cryptocurrency, which was then used to prepare the terrorist attack. Also, a suspect involved in financing the attack had been identified and detained.
Unofficially, the online news outlet Baza, citing an anonymous source, claimed that traces of a drug that suppresses fear had been found in blood samples taken from the four suspects. All four had a psychotropic substance in their blood that “alters perception of reality,” Baza reported.
