March 8, 2024 (EIRNS)—In what is probably a desperate attempt to hold on to power in a situation which is getting out of his control, Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy has given the boot to his Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Oleh Nikolenko. Nikolenko’s announcement of his resignation is occurring in a climate where Zelenskyy has threatened to can people in managerial positions. It is rumored by some that Zelenskyy is not happy with Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba’s recent appointments of Ukrainian ambassadors.
According to reports cited by strana.ua, Kuleba was initially considered for the ambassador post to London before this was given to Zaluzhny.
