Janet Yellen Descends on China To Stop ‘Industrial Overcapacity’

April 4, 2024 (EIRNS)—U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen is arriving in China today for a six-day visit to Guangzhou and Beijing. She will be meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Vice Premier He Lifeng, Finance Minister Lan Fo’an, People’s Bank of China Governor Pan Gongsheng, and other officials. The dates for Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s forthcoming visit have not yet been announced.
