April 7, 2024 (EIRNS)—BBC reported that “Tens of Thousands of Israelis Rallied in Tel Aviv” against the government Saturday night, April 6, and added that organizers of the demonstration put it at 100,000, demanding Netanyahu agree to a hostage-for-ceasefire deal. There were actually rallies and demonstrations in 50 cities across the country as what initially began as a movement of hostages’ families and supporters has grown into one demanding new elections or resignation of the government. The Saturday night demonstrations followed the recovery of the body of Oct. 7 hostage Elad Katsir by the IDF in an operation in Gaza.
The news service also reported that five people were injured in Tel Aviv when a car was rammed into the demonstrators.
