April 25, 2024 (EIRNS)—Dimitri Lascaris, a Canadian peace activist who has attended some International Peace Coalition meetings, yesterday sent a 20-minute video from Türkiye, where he is preparing to join the Freedom Flotilla to Gaza, to “break the siege” of Gaza with large quantities of humanitarian aid.
Lascaris gave a history of his participation in two earlier Flotilla efforts, in 2018 and 2023, and called on the world to support and defend today’s Flotilla against a possible Israeli military attack on the ship. Such had occurred in 2010, killing 10 of the participants. Col. Ann Wright, a long- time peace activist, showed a video of the Israeli murderous attack during a training session for this year’s participants; and Lascaris included that in his video.
