German Birthday Present for NATO's 75th Is Military Buildup

April 4, 2024 (EIRNS)—German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has, in time for NATO’s celebration of its 75th birthday, presented the recommendations of the task force “war readiness.” While the full contents of the report are still not public, the draft document, which the national TV network ARD has received, includes a term Pistorius coined, “kriegstüchtig” (or, “ready for war") 17 times on the 34 pages. He coined it with regard to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
