April 3, 2024 (EIRNS)—The IDF says that it has bolstered its air defense array, calling up reservists following a fresh assessment, reports the Times of Israel. The move comes in the aftermath of Israel’s destruction of the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1 for which Iran has vowed retaliation. Times of Israel adds that Channel 12 reports that Israel is on high alert for a potential Iranian response to the strike in Syria and that a retaliatory strike originating from Iranian territory—as opposed to from one of its proxies—would require a more significant IDF response.
