April 30, 2024 (EIRNS)—Israel has dismissed a call by U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan—a weak call at that—to investigate mass graves that have been discovered at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. Politico on April 26 asked IDF International spokesman Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani if Israel would conduct an investigation. He derisively answered, “Investigate what?” He continued, “We gave answers. We don’t bury people in mass graves. Not something we do.”
According to Gaza’s Civil Defense, which manages emergency services and rescue in Gaza, more than 390 bodies were found at three mass grave sites at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis as of April 26, following a seven-day search-and-recovery operation. At least 165 have been identified, about 10 of them found with their hands bound, said Dr. Muhammad Al-Mughair, head of evidence at Civil Defense, though he did not specify how many of the dead were shot in the head. He later told NBC News that the bodies of 78 children have been found in the graves, NBC News reported April 27.
Israel invaded Nasser Hospital, hitting it with airstrikes, over Feb. 14-15, and only withdrew its troops April 1. If Israel did not create the mass grave, then who in the world could have?
