April 15, 2024 (EIRNS)—The fact that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s regime has every intention of continuing to prosecute its war of genocide in Gaza is threatening to get lost with all of the attention focused on Iran. The IDF announced yesterday it is calling up reserves to deploy into Gaza. “In accordance with the situational assessment, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) is calling up approximately two reserve brigades for operational activities on the Gazan front,” the military said, though it provided no further details, reported Reuters.
In Gaza, the IDF is blocking Palestinian refugees from returning to the northern part of the Strip, even as thousands were headed there anyway. Videos began circulating online April 14, Sunday morning, showing people heading to the north, for the first time, and in large numbers, reported CNN. Some people told CNN they heard the Israeli military was allowing women and children to move back up. Others said their relatives were allowed to cross over.
