Student Protesters in St. Louis Banned from Washington University, Evicted from Dormitories

April 30, 2024 (EIRNS)—The 100 students, faculty members, elected officials, and other activists who were arrested on April 27 at the Gaza protest at Washington University in St. Louis, received a letter on Washington University Student Affairs letterhead, dated April 28, via email, notifying each of them that they have been banned from university property. The students and faculty were also suspended. Students were evicted from their dormitories and only allowed to finish classes and exams remotely if their professors consented. The letter stated, “Your continued presence on campus poses a substantial threat to the ability of faculty and other students to continue their normal University functions and activities.”
