Fico Ally Pellegrini Wins Slovak Presidential Election, Both Opponents of NATO War Drive

April 7, 2024 (EIRNS)— Euractiv reported that with 99% of the vote counted, Speaker of Parliament Peter Pellegrini won the presidential election in Slovakia with 53% of the votes, over the pro-EU former Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok. Pellegrini, like his ally Prime Minister Robert Fico, is strongly opposed to military support for neighboring Ukraine, and skeptical about the power of the EU bureaucracy.
