According to accounts in Izvestia and RT, Vietnam is working on a request to join the BRICS, although no formal decision has yet been made by the Vietnamese government. According to their embassy in Moscow, they are actively considering sending a delegation to the 2024 BRICS summit, which will be held in Kazan, Russia in October.
