Washington Post Story Shows German Authorities' Fanaticism on Gaza War

April 14, 2024 (EIRNS)—An article in the Washington Post on April 13 showed German authorities to be as crazy against Palestinians as Iranian mullahs were about Salman Rushdie 30 years ago. More than 100 police were deployed in Berlin to enter, then shut down a political meeting involving accounts from Palestine, with arrests of some of the organizers and attendees, because they started to play a video message from an 86-year-old Palestinian author living in the U.K., Ghassan Abu Sitta, whom Germany has banned from “political activity in Germany.” His 43-year-old nephew Dr. Salman Abu Sitta, a plastic surgeon also resident in the U.K., who had worked in a Gaza hospital for a month and a half last year, was detained at the Berlin airport on April 12 and prevented from entering Germany to attend the meeting and give an account.

“Dozens of activists” were arrested in the process, the Post reported.
