BRICS International Financial and Economic Forum Opens in Moscow

The BRICS International Financial and Economic Forum (IFE Forum BRICS 2024) opened on May 27 in Moscow and gathered 700 guests from around the world, while tens of thousands were able to view the conference online. The forum brought together government ministers, representatives of diplomatic missions, company executives and experts to discuss the creation of independent financial instruments within the BRICS framework, TASS reports. A resolution will be adopted on new payment, settlement, and emission activities of the BRICS nations. In addition to BRICS members, Russia, Brazil, Egypt, India, Iran, China, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, and South Africa, other countries will participate, including representatives of Algeria, Yemen, Palestine, Peru, and Tunisia.
