EU-Moldova ‘Security and Defense’ Partnership

“Today Moldova has become the first country to sign a security and defense partnership with the European Union,” EU high representative chief for foreign affairs and security policy Josep Borrell said at a meeting in Brussels with Moldova’s Prime Minister Dorin Recean. Next month EU membership talks could start. Details of the agreement have not been revealed, but earlier in the year, France signed a defense agreement with Moldova, according to Agence France-Presse.
