Indonesia’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning Israel’s action in Rafah and demanded that the UN Security Council act immediately to stop this. The statement reads: “Indonesia strongly condemns the military attack in the Palestinian city of Rafah and its control of the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing. The international community, particularly the Security Council, must stop Israel’s brutal atrocities immediately and prevent any further humanitarian catastrophe.” Demanding an immediate ceasefire, the statement charged that any displacement of Palestinians in Rafah would be “the ultimate crime against humanity.” Jakarta Globe reported.
Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister said Israel’s military action is a blatant violation of international law. The Foreign Minister of Jordan, Ayman Safadi said that this military action “threatens another massacre” and called on the UN to intervene.
