King of Bahrain Visits Putin To Discuss Middle East Peace

The King of Bahrain Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa arrived on a visit to Moscow today to discuss the situation in the Middle East with President Vladimir Putin. Bahrain now holds the chair of the Arab League, which met recently to discuss the situation in Gaza. There they had stated that they would have an international peacekeeping mission to be deployed in the Palestinian territories (including Gaza) and would remain until a two-state solution had been developed.
While the actual topic of discussion with Russia is not totally clear, the Bahrain news service issued a statement that “The visit is aimed at discussing bilateral relations, current regional and international events and the results of the 33rd Arab Summit organized by the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
