The list of cities is too long to itemize, but a large-scale wave of rallies took place around the world on Saturday, May 18 to commemorate the 1947-49 “Nakba” ("Catastrophe” in Arabic) in which 750,000 Palestinians were forced to leave their homes.

In the United States, LaRouche movement organizers deployed to several events with large banners and informational material to promote Lyndon LaRouche’s “Oasis Plan” as the only means for developing a lasting peace in Southwest Asia. This year’s commemorations are bigger than in recent years, due to urgency prompted by Israeli genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
