Iran’s interim President Mohammad Mokhber stated on May 22 that the revival of Iran’s relations with Egypt that had made important headway under his predecessor, the late President Ebrahim Raisi, will continue strongly. He stated this in a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, who was in Tehran to attend the funeral of Raisi, who died on May 19 in a helicopter accident which also took the life of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and others.
