On May 16 Spain refused a request of a ship carrying weapons to Israel to dock at the port of Cartagena, the Spanish EFE network reported, according to ynet. The ship, Marianne Danica, left the city of Chennai in India with a cargo of some 27 tons of explosives. The report was confirmed by Spain’s Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares, who said the vessel had been refused entry after it had requested permission to call at Cartagena on May 21.

According to the ship-tracking website Vessel Finder, the Marianne Danica is a small dry cargo ship sailing under the Danish flag.
