London’s The Guardian reported that Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that President Joe Biden’s plan not to attend Ukraine’s “peace summit” in mid-June in Geneva, “would not be a strong move.” Commenting while visiting Belgium, Zelenskyy said, “Putin will only applaud his absence, personally applaud it—and it would be a standing ovation.”
Zelenskyy has certainly complained a great deal about the United States and other NATO member states, but had never made a direct personal criticism of President Biden, until now. Biden is said by the White House to plan to visit a fundraiser in California with former President Barack Obama on the day of the phony “peace” conference. Vice President Harris is also not scheduled to go to Geneva.
