G7 Communiqué Targets China

Global Times, the Chinese daily newspaper, reports on the G7 demonization of China at their ongoing meeting in Italy, targeting China 20 times in their final Communiqué. Global Times wrote on June 15: “The fact that G7 Apulia Leaders’ Communiqué mentioned China over 20 times is no surprise to Chinese analysts, who said the elaborately crafted hypocritical declaration reveals the U.S.-led West’s attempts to shift blame to China, while the U.S. aims to lay the groundwork for future confrontation.” The Communiqué was published on the White House website on Friday, accusing China of crimes regarding Ukraine, climate, cyber security, Taiwan, the South China Sea and human rights.
