Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, in an op-ed on June 29 in a major daily Magyar Nemzet warned that EU’s leaders, amidst crises in the economy and around terrorism, are pushing the EU into war against Russia. The daily describes itself as “close to the current Hungarian government led by Viktor Orbán.” His op-ed was a response to the EU selecting Ursula von der Leyen for a second five-year term as president of the European Commission, and Estonian Foreign Minister Kaja Kallas to head the EU’s diplomatic service, replacing Josep Borrell.
