Orbán Announced That Hungary Will Not Participate in NATO’s Mission In Ukraine

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán told the Kossuth radio station, according to TASS that “NATO will set up its mission in Ukraine, but Hungary will not participate in it and will not provide its troops, weapons or financial resources for this purpose.” Orbán said he had reached an agreement to this effect with outgoing NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and his likely successor, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. “We have fulfilled our minimum task.… Hungary wants to remain an island of peace in Europe.”
