Slovakia Prime Minister Robert Fico Released from Hospital

Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico has been released from the hospital and is already at home where he will continue to recuperate after being shot five times in the abdomen on May 15, while touring the town of Handlova. On May 29, Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Robert Kalinak (Smer) said that Fico’s most serious injuries were to his digestive tract and part of his locomotion system. His leg and arm injuries were doing well. His attacker, 71-year-old Juraj Cintula, remains in a psychiatric ward at the military hospital in Trencin.
