The German Press Agency DPA reported yesterday, according to [RT]( https://sputnikglobe.com/20240602/saudi-arabia-will-not-attend-peace-conference-on-ukraine-as-russia-is-not-invited-1118748900.html), that Saudi Arabia will not take part in the Ukrainian “peace” conference for the reason that Russia will not be invited. “Saudi diplomatic sources” were cited. Apparently, Zelensky was to visit Saudi Arabia on June 1, but if this was the case, it has now been postponed.
Today, an unnamed diplomatic source told Pakistan Today that Islamabad finds itself in a delicate position, where, on the one hand, the peace conference doesn’t actually include one of the two countries in the war, and on the other hand, they have been under heavy diplomatic pressure from the West. This has left their attendance as uncertain.
