Protesters Occupy Stanford University's Office of President

At about 5:30 am on June 5, protesters barricaded themselves inside the president’s office in Building 10 on Stanford University’s historic Main Quad, according to The Guardian. Police cleared the office about three hours later, arresting 13 students. A group associated with the campus protest encampment which has stood since late April, calling themselves the “People’s University for Palestine,” claimed responsibility for the occupation of the president’s office. The occupying protesters were demanding that the university divest from Israel and any US companies supplying military assistance to Israel.

After the morning arrests, the police began to dismantle the campus ceasefire encampment, along with a pro-Israeli display that had been erected near the encampment. In early May the occupation of the administration building at California State Polytechnic University at Humboldt lasted one week.
