Numerous reports emerged yesterday indicating that Ukrainian forces fired into Russia’s Belgorod region yet again. What type of weapons were used is not confirmed, but that matter is secondary to the policy of expanding the proxy war as Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges (ret.), a former commander of U.S. Army Europe now ensconced at the neo-con Center for European Policy Analysis, has clearly stated.

The Biden Administration’s denial of permission to the Kiev regime to ATACMS long range rockets against targets inside Russia shows an “excessive fear” in Washington that Russia would somehow escalate the conflict, Hodges claimed. “The priority is escalation management,” he told Newsweek, saying he wholeheartedly supports allowing Ukraine to strike key Russian targets with ATACMS.
