According to an article published in British daily The Telegraph, “NATO is developing multiple ‘land corridors’ to rush U.S. troops and armor to the front lines in the event of a major European ground war with Russia,” according to officials from NATO.
The article proceeds to describe the five locations where U.S. troops would land at ports in Europe so as to efficiently and reliably be transported to the front lines in and around Ukraine. The locations are Norway, Netherlands, Italy, Greece, and Türkiye. It is supposed that the more traditional transport routes would be unsafe for travel during a future war with Russia. These new land corridors would also bypass the normal national borders and checkpoints which otherwise slow down transportation.
