Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Russia on an official visit on July 8-9, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced July 6. Peskov underscored the importance of the visit: “We are expecting a very important and full-fledged visit, which is so crucial for Russian-Indian relations.”
“Obviously, the agenda will be extensive, if not to say over-busy. It will be an official visit, and we hope that the heads will be able to talk in an informal way as well,” he said in an interview with Russia’s VGTRK host Pavel Zarubin. Peskov added that there would be both one-on-one talks between Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as broader discussions involving delegations.
