Did Biden Invite Putin to the NATO Summit, or Trump To Be Vice President?

President Joe Biden, apparently not wanting to disappoint his audience, provided two notable gaffes yesterday. First, his introduction at the NATO summit of Ukraine’s president: “Now I want to hand it over to the President of Ukraine, who has as much courage as he has determination, ladies and gentlemen, President Putin.”](https://tass.com/world/1816027)

However, Biden quickly recovered, turning back to the podium to add: “President Putin? He’s going to beat President Putin. President Zelenskyy. I’m so focused on beating Putin, we’ve got to worry about it.” It seems that Biden meant that everyone should worry about beating Putin, but undoubtedly some were worried about Biden’s focus.

One wit ventured that Biden could have just explained that all these Slavs look alike. But later, at a press conference, he confused Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Challenged whether Harris was qualified to serve as President, he shot back: “I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be Vice President [inaudible], if I think she’s not qualified to be President.”
