Law enforcement sources have confirmed to media that the shooting incident at a Trump rally in Butler, in western Pennsylvania, is being investigated as a potential assassination attempt on the life of former President Donald Trump. He was wounded, and is reportedly in good condition in an area hospital.
An 8:30 p.m. release from the U.S. Secret Service confirms the report that a spectator was killed and two spectators critically wounded by the shooter’s multiple shots into the crowd. The shooter was engaged and killed by the Secret Service counterassault team. The shooter fired multiple shots from an elevated position outside of the venue.
