Israel's Defense Minister Threatens an Imminent Ground Invasion of Lebanon

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, speaking to Israeli soldiers yesterday at the border with Lebanon, warned that the government is “approaching a decision-making crossroad” over the matter of a full ground-invasion of Lebanon. Gallant indicated that the ground invasion would commence if Hezbollah didn’t cease their attacks. Over recent weeks, 21 Israelis have been killed in northern Israel from attacks by Hezbollah and other armed groups, while Israeli attacks have killed more than 500 people, according to ACLED, the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project.
