Slovak Parliament, Before Condemning Russia, Asks for Evidence

In Bratislava, the National Council of Slovakia was asked to condemn Russia for allegedly bombing a children’s hospital in Kyiv last week. However, apparently, they felt that evidence should first be presented. Michal Simecka, leader of the largest opposition party, Progressive Slovakia, reported on X: “The coalition [the National Council] has just refused to condemn Russia’s attack on a children’s hospital in Kyiv. At the beginning of the parliamentary session, we, as Progressive Slovakia, proposed this resolution, but it failed to gain support,” reported TASS.

Apparently the resolution failed, due to the disinterest in actually providing evidence that found that Russia bombed the hospital. “Were you there,” Slovak National Party lawmaker Pavel Luptak retorted, as he made the case that legislators could not prove Russia is to blame for the strike.
