In addition to a video message, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico placed the following text on Facebook yesterday:
“WE WILL VETO UKRAINE’S MEMBERSHIP IN NATO BECAUSE WE DON’T WANT A THIRD WORLD HERE 🛑
NATO will formally invite Ukraine to join its ranks only when member states agree and all conditions are met, according to its Secretary General J. Stoltenberg. NATO will not require Ukraine to comply with an action plan, which every applicant for membership in the organisation had to fulfil.
