The following message was provided to EIR by American recipients of greetings from the President of Belarus, Aleksandrr Lukashenko, dated July 4, 2024, Minsk:

“Dear friends,

“On behalf of the Belarusian people and on my own behalf I convey the best wishes on the occasion of Independence Day.

“Belarus has always proceeded from the importance of constructive contacts with the United States of America, and the periods of history when such contacts prevailed demonstrated their undeniable benefit for the two states.

“We value the efforts of everyday Americans who in a human, heartfelt way helped alleviate consequences of the catastrophe in Ukrainian Chernobyl.

“Political stereotypes aside, we invite you to look beyond horizon, make your own impression about Belarus, assess its achievements. I am confident that many will be pleasantly surprised and will want to get to know our country better.

“On this holiday, I wish you all cloudless skies and wisdom of a peaceful coexistence with all the people of good will.

“Welcome to Belarus!”
