On July 19 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (whose term expired on March 20) was invited to 10 Downing Street in London to address the assembled British Ministers. Such an invitation has not happened since 1997 when British Prime Minister Tony Blair invited the new President Bill Clinton.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer promised to speed the flow of weapons to Ukraine, and Zelenskyy was greeted with a standing ovation. Zelenskyy continued his demand to be allowed to use long range strikes deep into Russia.
