Congresswoman Cori Bush (D-MO) has called for “ending U.S. government support for Israeli military occupation and apartheid.” She has voted against every arms deal for Israel, and introduced the Gaza ceasefire resolution in Congress on October 14. A local ADL leader called her “beyond reason.”

Since the beginning of the Gaza war, AIPAC has convinced St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell to leave his race for U.S. Senate against Republican Josh Hawley, and run in the August 6 Democratic primary against Cori Bush, instead. AIPAC promised Bush’s opponent plenty of cash and has delivered. AIPAC’s United Democracy Project spent $7.1 million to help the opponent, AIPAC organized another $2.3 million in individual campaign contributions to the opponent, and the group, Democratic Majority for Israel, gave $475,000. The opponent also received $1.4 million from the cryptocurrency, “Fairshake PAC.” Total spending for this primary is $20.5 million with Cori Bush spending about $5.4 million and $15.1 million going to the opponent.
