Egyptian President el-Sisi To Visit Türkiye

Marking another milestone in the normalization of relations between Egypt and Türkiye, Cairo’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will make an official visit to Ankara on September 4. The visit follows an official visit to Egypt by Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, earlier this year. There was a major rupture of relations between the two countries after el-Sisi took power, following the 2013 removal of Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohamed Morsi.
