Fighting Rages in Kursk, as Russian Forces Advance on Donbass Front

According to an update from Avia.pro this morning, Ukrainian forces have destroyed three bridges across the Seim River, which runs roughly east-west, north of the border. This complicates Russian military logistics and their evacuation of civilians, but Ukraine is also engaged in attacks at a number of locations north of the river, including in Safonovka, about 35 km north of Sudzha, and in Korenovo, more to the west. In both locations, Russian forces are reported to be counterattacking with some success.

Another location where heavy fighting was reported yesterday was Apananovska, about 14 km due south of Korenovo. Avia.pro reported Ukrainian forces to be still holding positions in the populated area, but their attempts to advance further meet with stubborn resistance. Ukrainian troops face heavy defenses reinforced by artillery strikes, anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) and FPV drones. In addition, Russian aviation is successfully targeting large concentrations of Ukrainian forces, which causes serious damage to the enemy and complicates its further advance.
