Iran Accuses U.S. of Responsibility Along with Israel in Haniyeh Hit

According to RT, the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated July 31: “The Islamic Republic of Iran emphasizes the responsibility of the U.S. government as a supporter and accomplice” of Israel, including in “committing this heinous act of terrorism.” Referring to the July 31 targeted assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, the statement added that the attack poses a “serious threat” to regional and international peace and stability. The Ministry statement said Tehran reserves the right to “respond appropriately to this aggressive action.”

Additionally, Iranian envoy to the UN Amir Saeid Iravani stated at the July 31 emergency UNSC meeting, according to TASS:
