A key “proof” cited by Establishment media worldwide that the Venezuelan government carried out a “massive fraud” in the Sunday, July 28 national elections is the exit poll issued by the “respected” New Jersey-headquartered Edison Research, which is hailed as “a proven source for accurate and timely nationwide vote tabulation” in the United States. The press release issued by Edison Executive Vice President Rob Farbman blared: “Edison Research Exit Poll projects opposition candidate Edmundo González will defeat Nicolás Maduro in a landslide win to become the next President of Venezuela.”

Edison declared its exit poll found González winning 65% of the vote against Maduro’s 31%, with each of the other eight opposition candidates receiving 1% or less. Interviewed the next day by Colombia’s NTN24, Farbman insisted that no one can believe Venezuelan government figures because his firm found otherwise in its “more than 8,000 interviews” of Venezuelans leaving 100 polling stations chosen randomly (so he said) across the nation. “Exit polls” are not ballots, and 8,000 would hardly be a large sample of the nearly 10 million Venezuelans who voted on July 28. According to its own press release, however, Edison Research called the election on the basis of a sample of only 6,846 voters, because not every person interviewed agreed to answer!

The profile of Edison Research suggests a “P” for pollsters should be added to Ray McGovern’s acronym for the military-industrial-congressional-intelligence-media-academia-think-tank complex, MICIMATT, which currently dictates U.S. war policy. The day after it had taken it upon itself to announce the winner of Venezuela’s election, Edison Research issued a new poll purporting to show that support is growing for the NATO/U.S./Soros-backed opposition in the nation of Georgia, and support is dwindling for the government—which in concert with Hungary’s Orbán and Slovakia’s Fico, is urging diplomacy and negotiations to bring an end to the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Edison’s “poll” was immediately promoted by the color revolution crowd there .

Edison teams have “conducted exit polls and pre-election surveys in countries such as Azerbaijan, Iraq, the Republic of Georgia, Taiwan, Ukraine, and Venezuela,” all locations subjected to NATO-U.S. political and military interventions.
