For the upcoming September 1, 2024 state elections in Saxony, the BüSo campaign is now gaining more visibility. The campaign is run under the slogans: Cooperation with the BRICS—Vote the Warmongers Out! and—Saxony and BRICS—Peace through Development.
The MDR state TV visited the BüSo booktable in Dresden yesterday, and interviewed Michael Gründler, chairman of BüSo Saxony, and lead candidate of the 12-person state slate, for MDR’s program on “smaller parties,” running in the September 1 campaign.
The online service of Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) lists all 12 Saxon candidates of the BüSo party, three of them (Birgitta Gründler, Inge Rost and Matthias Woelki) with photos and about 1.30 minute interview each on why they are running for election to the Saxony state parliament, and what they want to achieve.
In addition, we have now our 1.5 minute election video, which will be aired twice statewide in Saxony by MDR, the public TV and radio in Saxony, starting next Monday, Aug. 12. (This coverage is legally guaranteed as a minimum for parties which participate.)
A radio spot with the same content was aired already this week on Thursday morning Aug. 8 statewide, and will be aired one more time soon.
Here is the text of the video and radio clip:
“Dear voters,
“Instead of spending huge sums on armaments, we need investment in Saxony’s infrastructure, in modern industries and good public facilities!
“More and more weapons mean more and more death and destruction.
“Constantly crossing red lines also makes us a target and leads us straight into nuclear war.
“Saxony certainly does not want to become ‘war-ready.’
