The United States Extends $3.9 Billion in Grants to Prop Up Fiction of Ukrainian Economy

Ukraine was extended $3.9 billion in non-repayable financial assistance from the US, in order to cover its gaping budget deficits, and maintain the fiction that it has an economy which slightly functions. Ukrainian Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko said on August 6, “The grant will help the government of Ukraine to reimburse priority social and humanitarian expenditures without increasing the debt burden,” reports the August 6 Telangana Today.

The money Ukraine receives will not have to be paid back. Since February 2022, Ukraine has received $27 billion in grants from the US to support its budget. Think of what that could have done to build or upgrade water systems, rail, electricity grids, housing for the homeless, school systems in the United States, rather propping up a neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv.
