UNRWA Chief Lazzarini Says 600,000 Children in Gaza Living in War Debris

UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) chief Philippe Lazzarini told Spain’s El País that up to 600,000 Palestinian children in Gaza are living in the war debris left by Israel’s military campaign. He noted that these children have psychological traumas, reported TASS. The agency, he said, has organized classes for some 10,000 children at shelters they are living in and plans to increase the number to 200,000. He stressed that the idea is to begin healing children’s psychological traumas amid the absence of schools and safe places in Gaza.
