A U.S. base in Syria was attacked last night. An unnamed U.S. official told Reuters that the attack was carried out using a drone. “Initial reports do not indicate any injuries, however medical evaluations are ongoing. We are currently conducting a damage assessment,” he said The attack took place at Rumalyn Landing Zone, which hosts U.S. troops along with those from the U.S.-led coalition, in the northeast corner of Syria.

Iran’s Mehr News cited local sources reporting that several explosions occurred inside the base and that a large fire was burning as a result.
