German MP: If Government Claims Ukraine Sabotaged Nord Stream, Then It Should Pay

Alice Weidel, a leading member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, who has signed several earlier parliamentary queries of the AfD into the Sept. 26, 2022 destruction of the Russian-German gas submarine Nord Stream pipelines, responded to the German authorities’ present line of investigation. She argues that, if the official investigation shows that only Ukraine is to be blamed for blowing up the Nord Stream gas pipeline, Ukraine should compensate Germany (although why not Russia, which partly owned and built the pipelines).
